Not exactly what you would expect to see for 9 euro. Only ground floor open and not much inside, the outbuildings and the court looks ok but again a bit pricey.

Chateau de Vaux is a beautiful manor in the Southern part of the Aube département. Upon entry (9€ per adult) you receive a map of the castle and a game to find the golden bell. I did not follow the game and only explored the site. The renovations are still ongoing and only the music hall was fully restored on the ground floor. Further the basement might be the most catching to see. The stables were also open. It is a nice place to visit and I am sure it will be eben more interesting when fully renovated. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Magnifique endroit pour fêtes et mariage. I highly recommend this place for anyone from outside France also who wants to get married or do a big party there. They offer up to 88 sleeping arrangements and receptions for hundreds and hundreds.

It is very much a work in progress, but I enjoyed learning about it and seeing it in its current state. I feel like this will give more appreciation for the finished product, as well as a good opportunity to see the reality of a structure that's that old without proper upkeep.
